Export in XML format file


Sometime it is useful to export the data you input during your work to another software for other type of processing.
NSTLabelEditor permit to export the data to a text file in XML format.
The XML is a standard format, it permit you use the data externally.

You can export: Once you select the export object, you will be prompted to select the file destiantion of the data.

Import from other job file


Often it is useful to import the data you allready input during your work form another job file.
NSTLabelEditor permit to import the data from another job file.
You can import:

Import list procedure

Once you select the object to import, you will be prompted to select the file source of the data.
If you decide to import a list from another label you will also be prompted to associate the variable fields of current label with the variable fields of the label you are importing from.



On the left side you will see all the variable fields of the current label Destination and on the right you will see all the variable fields of the label you are importing from Source.
The fields will be associated one by one starting from the top.
The exceeding field of destination will be left empty.
The exceeding field of source will be ignored.

Import from MS Excel™ (from ADVANCED edition only)

Sometimes customer gives you the data to input in the variable fields in an electronic format and it is always a MS Excel™ file.
NSTLabelEditor Advanced Edition permit to import the data from such file type.

Note:

The spread sheet content must be as follow:
 first row the name of the data to be associate to the variable field.
 subsequent rows the data
The data must start from the first column.

Import procedure:
  1. choose the import data source Excel file
  2. select the Excel sheet where data are
  3. to associate the spread sheet colum to the variable field of the label follow the import list procedure


Set personal preferences

In NSTLabelEditor there are some parameters that are set by default to a specific value. These parameters can be set as preferred.

Label preferences

Form the first tab of the preferences dialog window you can set the dimension of the grid that helps in drawing label process.
You can set the default label dimension for a new label.



Display preferences

Form the second tab of the preferences dialog window you can set the model of the pinking machine you have or, if you have a customized machine, you can input the custom dimensions.



Language and look&feel preferences

Form the third tab of the preferences dialog window you can set the language of the NSTLabelEditor interface and the look of NSTLabelEditor windows.
