If you select t the menu item Printers ->
Printer fine tuning... you can do the tuning of your printer in order to get tapes extremely precise in length.
Select the printer to be tuned:

Fine tuning calibration process
Click OK button and NstLabelEditor will guide you throughout the calibration procedure with a sequence of windows.

Step 1 of 5 Do you want to print a caliber label?
If you have printed a calibration label recently, answer no otherwise yes.
Printing a calibration label you can get the effective printer error.

Step 2 of 5 Insert into the printer a white tape at least 5 meter long and wide at least 40mm. Then press OK to print the label to be measured.
Remember to feed the printer with a suitable tape and click OK when you and your printer are ready, you will get a 4 tab tape.

Step 3 of 5 Insert the measure of distance between the printed lines 1 and line 2 (in millimeters)
Use a precise length measure instrument to measure the distance between the tab one and the tab two, it should be 500mm.
If you get a different measure please input it.

Step 4 of 5 Insert the measure of distance between the printed line 1 and the next line 1 (in millimeters)
Use a precise length measure instrument to measure the distance between the tab one and the next tab one, it should be 1000mm.
If you get a different measure please input it.

Step 5 of 5 Do you want to reprint a tuned caliber label to have a check?
At the end, press OK if you want to reprint the calibration label with the new tuning settings, you will get a calibrated tape.
If the measures are now correctly printed the printer is calibrated otherwise repeat the procedure. Answer NO at step 1 to avoid printing a new calibration tape.
